Sunday Suppers is a weekly series featuring recipes and conversation topics that bring together those most important to you. From our house to yours, bon appetit.
My house is a big fan of tacos, or a “build your own” kind of dinner. While we are a small family (3 people), we each have different tastes, and a dinner with do it yourself toppings helps satisfy each of us. This particular recipe doesn’t call for a toppings bar, but I will throw in a few extra toppings such as sour cream, another salsa, and manchego cheese so that we can add our own flare.
The Main Course
Jamaican Jerk Steak Tacos by Tiffany Azure on Delish
To Top It Off…
Chocolate Covered Yogurt Pops by Tiffany Azure on Creme de la Crumb
Today’s conversation topic is all about gratitude. Gratitude and joy are inextricably linked, and practicing gratitude is just that, a practice. Why not use the time together at dinner to check in on what we are most grateful for? Here’s a quick starter challenge from The Family Dinner Project to get you going.
Choose one person to start off the game. The first person says something they are grateful for starting with the letter A. The second person says what they are grateful for starting with the letter B, and so on until you get through the entire alphabet. If you don’t feel like your family will play along, have each person share something for which they are grateful.
