The Unscripted Weekly: It’s Madness Out There

The Unscripted Weekly features links to various articles I have come across in my travels across the internet.  Feel free to share your own internet journeys, and thoughts on these articles in the comments section.

It has begun!  March Madness that is.  Here in the states, it is all about basketball right now.  I’ll admit, I filled out my bracket (I mostly just guessed), and I’m sort of keeping up with the games.  Thankfully, co-workers and family are keeping me up to date.  Here’s your rundown…

It’s already started, so to get caught up, check out the NCAA March Madness site.  Today offers a full complement of games and commentary.  It’s fast paced, and non stop.

Of course, one cannot have a tournament without winners and losers.  SMU is the latest team cursed when it comes to the NCAA.  The agony of defeat is tough.

Now here’s an interesting tidbit…the OTHER March Madness, as noted by the Washington Post.  Urologists see an increase in vasectomies during March Madness, and I can see the allure here.  Don’t worry if you feel you missed the boat on this round, the Masters is coming.

So you’re not into March Madness, and don’t feel like you are missing out?  Think again. Check out the 9 Amazon Prime Perks you’re probably not using…and should.

Looking for something to read to get you up to speed on all the digital speak?  Check out Lennox Morrison’s article on technobabble, and how the language of Silicon Valley has infiltrated our everyday conversations.

And finally, if you are looking for new music for your playlist, check out DRAM – upbeat rap that is being touted as the future of pop.  He is making quite the splash at SXSW along with many other creative individuals that converge in Austin, TX for the annual conference.

Enjoy!
