Sunday Suppers: It’s Super Bowl Sunday

Sunday Suppers is a weekly series featuring recipes and conversation topics that bring together those most important to you.  From our house to yours, bon appetit.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday here in the U.S.  If you are not familiar with this event, it’s the annual showdown between the two conference champions that make up the National Football League.  Even if folks don’t have an affinity for the teams playing in the championship game, it is a fun evening, and the commercials usually provide quite a few conversation starters at the water cooler the next day.

We are planning a Mexican themed buffet today.  It’s easy, and there is usually something for everyone.  Friends and family are bringing sides and taco fixings, and we are in charge of the chili.

I’ve chosen two chilis for today to give some variety, so without further ado, let’s dig in!

The Recipe

I have found through many mistakes, that folks don’t like too much talking during the game – unless it is specific to a play or the game itself, so I’m not pulling together conversation topics today.  Instead, enjoy your friends and family, and allow a game to pull you together.
