The Unscripted Weekly: Joy, Scams, Mumps, and the Chinese New Year

I get asked all the time about how we spend time, and if an activity is a good use of time, or a waste.  Tiny Buddha has a perspective in their blog topic If It Brings You Joy, It’s Not “Wasting Time” which for many of us is timely as we seek to spend our life engaged in activities that better us in some way, shape, or fashion.

Ugh.  Scammers.  As if there is not enough to keep us unnerved, now we have to be ultra careful about phone calls we may receive.  Check out USA Today’s article You’re A Victim With One Word In ‘Can you hear me?’ Phone Scam.  The article provides tips on avoiding this scam, so it’s worth the quick read.

Up next – Mumps.  Geez, I’m filled with all sorts of great news this week.  There’s been a resurgence in cases of mumps as reported by CNN.  Take a look at the prevention tips, and symptoms.

January 28 is the Chinese New Year, or the Lunar New Year.  2017 is the year of the rooster. Check out what the Chinese have to say about the year of the rooster brought to you by the Epoch Times.
